"Making a splash for the ripples..."
As a child I loved to throw rocks in water, just to watch the ripple effect. Eventually I mastered the art of skipping stones, creating ripples upon ripples.
In this blog I cover a blend of topics. Some are tough topics. Like overcoming abuse--emotional, physical, sexual or spiritual--and violence. Others are spiritually uplifting, devotional types. Still others are simply storytelling, practical advice on marriage, parenting, relationships and a variety of topics.
When I put the written word out there, it's like tossing a pebble in the lake. I have no idea how far the ripples will go. Sometimes it's like skipping stones, as I watch people share and pass it on, creating a series of ripples that my little pebble, dropped in front of me, could never create.
In all I say and share, my prayer is that the ripple that reaches you will be one of hope and encouragement. I don't mention Him explicitly in every post, but my goal is to make Jesus famous in my life and in my writing, so that you will be empowered to live a life of purpose and meaning.

Thank you. I am, admittedly, feeling quite crushed, broken… lost… wondering how things can go so wrong, when my husband will vouch for my heart throughout all of this. Never, to this day, have I reached for or wished for anyone’s destruction. All I ever asked for was truth. Never knowing it was too much to ask…

My heart is crushed and bleeding for you. I know next to nothing about you or what you do or who you are, and yet, the love of Jesus shines through the computer screen through your words. In a much more private way, I have been exposing a certain truth about a certain person/group and they are doing their best to crush me so that their reputation is not tainted by my true words. So, in a tiny, tiny way I kind of know how it feels to begin to doubt oneself (in the midst of hard evidence) because power hungry people do not stop until they have crushed you. But, please, my dear lady, do not lay the torch of truth aside because that is exactly what satan wants. Satan is the one who wants all this to quietly go away so he can continue to do his destructive work.

Someone once said that if you take what is precious and lay it before those who trample on it and then turn and tear into you, you know you are dealing with swine.
